Seymour Kushner: Many Sides to a Businessman

Does what you do for a living define who you are as a person? For many of us, the unfortunate answer is yes. In some cases, it’s because we simply put in so many hours at the office that we are unable to form an identity outside of it. For others, it is because what we do for a living is just such a big part of who we are. For a select few, it may be because what we do simply excites us so much that we choose to make it the dominant force in shaping our lives.

But there is another way, and it is exemplified, quite well, by one Seymour Kushner. Seymour Kushner is known to some as the president of a small publishing and recording company. The company distributes products throughout the world, so it is probably fair to suggest that Seymour Kushner is relatively successful. And yet, it would be wrong to say that this is the sum of his identity, or that he is somehow consumed by what he does for a day job.

Indeed, there are many other sides to Seymour Kushner, including these facets to his personality:

  • Seymour Kushner is an avid music enthusiast, something that involves both a lot of listening and a lot of concert-going. He speaks highly of the memorable concert experiences he has enjoyed; he holds particular views about the state of recorded music; and he clings to tastes that are nothing if not impressively eclectic.
  • He is also an enthusiastic outdoorsman, an adventurer whose various activities have included biking, motorcycling, and Jeep adventures.
  • He loves nature, and in addition, he loves putting the legwork into researching his outdoor trips.
  • He is also a firm believer in the importance of community service, and regularly donates his time to various area charities and organizations.

All of this is to say, quite simply, that Seymour Kushner is not just a businessman; there is more to him than that. And that can be a lesson to us all. We can define ourselves in many different ways, by many different activities and ideals.
